The Multi Green wool creates a nice pattern through the scarf.

This is my favourite scarf so far. It's quite wide, possibly too wide, but the pattern of the orange & red looks pretty cool!

Names and numbers

I've decided to adopt a very ISO-type numbering convention for my scarves.

Scarf XX NNSSLLL

XX - Scarf number, 1 - 50
NN - needle size in mm
SS - number of stitches
LLL - length of scarf in cm

Easy!

It's a start. Not great, has a hole, but I'm on my way!

And so it begins....

50 scarves. 50 weeks. (or thereabouts...)

This all started at Colour Your World 2009. The Knitting Sisterhood. Who knew it could be so much fun to make stuff for others??

I started knitting, and then decided that it might be nice to knit towards a goal. 50 sounds like a good number, and it's almost 50 weeks until Colour Twenty Ten.

So here goes....

I'm also posting on Ravelry under the screen name "notmensa" (long story). You may have to register to see it though.
